Manipulatives is a term popular in the teaching world which basically means physical objects or materials that a child can move and “manipulate” to create new forms from it. This can entail many objects but for our purposes we will reference building type materials. Manipulatives are essential for helping children grasp complex concepts through hands-on exploration.
